About me

I am Ellis Ng, a journalist and community advocate.

I am currently a reporter with Bahati, with bylines in (Re)in Asia and others.

Before that, I spent four and a half years with Reuters as a user-generated content producer. I was also a Web Culture Intern at Mashable Asia, and a freelance writer with Mothership.sg, covering viral news, current affairs, and politics. I wrote for theonlinecitizen and Breakfast Network, both socio-political online newspapers, and the campus newspaper Nanyang Chronicle.

I am currently volunteering to create and edit content, guides and resources for a LGBTQ+ organisation.

I was previously a treasurer and volunteer rescue manager at Love Kuching Project, where I started as a volunteer executive assistant. While at Love Kuching Project, I was also actively involved with the Nanyang Technological University Cat Management Network, where I led club committee members in fundraising, outreach, public relations, campus cat care and cat rescue for the organisation.
