As a former web culture intern at Mashable and a freelance contributor at Mothership.sg, I have worked on many human interest stories, using photography and videography as a medium.

At Mashable, I created visual content alongside text reporting on web culture in East and Southeast Asia as part of the site’s comprehensive reporting on lifestyle, technology and viral trends.

  • Over 20,000 people lit up a park to celebrate Pride

More than 20,000 Singaporeans came to Pink Dot, the city's annual LGBTQ festival in 2017.

  • A carpenter has been decorating neighborhood for free for 10 years

He’s skipped holidays to use the money for the elaborate decorations.

  • These fluffy stuffed toys are actually made of cake

Can't decide if we want to hug these or eat them.

I also have experience with political news reporting both overseas and in Singapore, with coverage of protests against Beijing’s decision to bar two pro-independence lawmakers from the city’s LegCo in 2016 and coverage of the 2015 Singapore general elections.

Videography

At Mashable and Mothership.sg, I have also worked on stories ranging from product reviews, interviews and urban explorer videos.

I created and filmed video rushes for Mashable’s London headquarters as part of a pivot towards multimedia reporting, using GoPro cameras to create time laps and point of view visuals.

I was also involved in Mothership.sg’s early pivot to video, creating engaging content in an urban explorer series and a video on Ah Meng, the iconic Singaporean orang utan.
